JOB VACANCY

We are a family run, NHS & Private denture clinic based in Birmingham looking for a newly qualified Junior prosthetic dental technician to join our team. 

Applicants must be qualified or potentially coming to the end of their course. GDC registered and with a good knowledge of all prosthetic procedures. Extra training will be provided.

In particular we are searching for someone with the right attitude, willing to learn new things and someone with a real passion for this type of work. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in setting up and being able to produce good quality work from start to finish. 

Applicants must be competent in all aspects of removable prosthetic appliances.

•  Be able to complete a full range of full and partial dentures from start to finish 
•  All aspects of removable prosthetic appliances including plaster work 
• Cast and trim models from incoming impressions 
• Special trays and bite blocks 
• Articulation of models to bite registration  
• Flasking and processing of dentures 
• Wax setup of partial and full dentures for try-ins 
• Polishing of complete dentures and denture appliances to a high standard
• Good knowledge of bite plates, mouth guards, night guards and retainers would be an advantage but not essential. In-house training will be available.
• Other responsibilities as required by the laboratory

• Excellent attention to detail 
• Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes 
• The ability to work well with others and alone/unsupervised and take detailed instructions 
• Thinking and reasoning skills 
• Good time management 
• Punctual, polite and well presented 
• The ability to work well under pressure. 

This is a full time permanent position with an immediate start, and a chance to progress working closely with a highly experienced team of Dental Technicians in a friendly working environment.
